We have always set the highest standards for the quality of our products. In the extremely demanding field of explosion-proof lighting, where product quality and reliability are of the utmost importance, we have built up an excellent international reputation over generations since 1910. We were born with the quality gene. Thanks to a high degree of vertical integration, our own research, innovation and development departments, a VDE-approved laboratory centre with high-precision measuring and testing equipment, and decades of trusting cooperation with renowned suppliers, we have all quality-related processes firmly under control. The design and manufacture of luminaires for use in harsh industrial and commercial environments has always been at the heart of our business. Supported by a high level of vertical integration, the concentration of key manufacturing processes in-house and the many years of service of many of our employees, we have built up a wealth of experience over a period of more than 130 years, from which our customers benefit time and again. Not only do we know what luminaires need to do in a wide range of applications, but we also know how to design them. Every single luminaire is an original SCHUCH luminaire and therefore an unmistakable brand product made in Germany. Commercial products have no place in our range. |  |

Innovation – Only those who consistently invest in research and development can be innovative
In five interdisciplinary teams, engineers, technicians and designers work together with physicists and lighting specialists on new and further developments, as well as improvements to existing luminaire ranges. The implementation of new technologies, as well as smart solutions designed for long-term use, also plays an important role. Of course, the wishes and requirements of our customers are also a constant source of new developments and product modifications. Recent solutions such as the innovative encapsulation technology of LED modules in explosion-proof luminaires or the LED luminaires of the RESISTANT series with the first absolutely gas-tight damp-proof luminaire PRIMO XR reflect the innovative strength of our company - even in difficult terrain. |  |
Sustainability – The journey is the reward
Our activities are geared towards the long-term and responsible development of the company. This includes the efficient use of resources as well as the development of durable and adaptable products. Our luminaires are designed on a modular basis, and many versions allow individual components to be replaced. We also continuously work to further increase the use of recycled and bio-based materials in our products. Reducing our energy consumption and CO₂ emissions is another key focus. For many years, we have been implementing various measures to continuously improve our energy efficiency. The energy-efficient refurbishment of our buildings, the conversion of our entire factory lighting to LED and the installation of a photovoltaic system on our production hall have been important milestones. In addition, our facilities and manufacturing processes are assessed as part of regular energy audits in order to identify further potential for energy savings. We pursue our goals with a long-term perspective and continuously develop our measures further. |   |
