Amber Vorteile

 

Areas in which safety, ecology and quality of life are in the foreground deserve increased attention. Amber (light colour 518 = 1,800 Kelvin) is a suitable solution: a warm, yellowish light with virtually no blue component, which can meet the demanding requirements of these areas while helping to reduce light pollution.

The light of the Amber light fittings

  • iis scattered significantly less by fog than white light. Its low blue component can therefore help to improve visibility.
  • is very insect-friendly due to its extremely low blue component and is scattered into the night sky significantly less than white light. This not only benefits stargazers, but can also have a positive effect on the wider ecosystem.
  • is perceived as warm light that creates an atmospheric and cosy atmosphere.
 
One light colour - many options

Not only the light should be appealing and tailored to the respective need, but also the luminaires should blend harmoniously into their surroundings. This is why almost our entire LED outdoor light fitting range is also available in the special light colour Amber (1,800K). Most of the luminaires also meet the requirements of the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA).

In detail, this means that the luminaires:

  • have an Upward Light Output Ratio (ULOR) of 0%
    (when installed, they emit no direct light into the upper hemisphere)
  • have a low blue component (with a maximum colour temperature of 3,000 K)
  • allow the light output to be reduced at night (versions with reduced output or the LIMAS Air SYNC light management system)
With LED luminaires in the Amber light colour (1,800 K), we offer flexible options for targeted outdoor lighting – particularly in areas where a warm light colour and a low blue component are required.
