The certification for an ambient temperature of +60°C, the electronic control gear with its "end-of-life switching-off system" and the widened Interference suppression up to 300 MHz stand for an ipressive series of innovations with which the Adolf Schuch company has enormously influenced the development of explosion protected light fittings for 2-pin fluorescent by applying electronic control gears in explosive atmospheres.

  • Very high mechanical stability thanks to a robust housing made from glass fibre reinforced polyester (impact resistance: 20Nm instead of the required 7Nm) as well as a highly shockproof polycarbonate diffuser of a uniform wall thickness of 2.5 mm.
  • Excellent light distribution and simultaneous glare limitation my means of the polycarbonate diffuser with its light technically optimized internal prisms.
  • Solid and long-life central locking system made from galvanized steel and high-grade stainless steel hinges.
  • Steel rail with mounted electrical components for weight carrying in case of direct ceiling monting system or suspended mounting. (The polyester housing is not exposed to any direct load at all).
  • High-grade stainless steel hinges for hinging the polycarbonate diffuser when installing the light fitting or in case of any maintenance work.
  • Highly resistant EPDM gasket of dimensional stability that stands for a safe tightness to water and dust during its whole life.
  • Hingeable and detachable reflector made from glass fibre reinforced polyester with stable suspension system.
  • Quick and simple replacement of all electrical components thanks to screw fastening system (no rivets).
  • Isolating switch with obligatory optical signal indicator (red = voltage "on", green = power supply "not on") for safe switching off all poles when the light fitting is opened.
  • High-grade explosion-proof electronic control gear (ECG) with excellent quality features:
  • fail-safe thanks to its "end-of-life switching-off system" acc. to the latest IEC standards DCV/IEC 61347-2-3 i.e. at the end of its life a fluorescent tube is safely switched off by the ECG, thus, avoiding any critical operating condition e.g. in case an electrode wearing out. An installation of any fuse is therefore not necessary nor is a regular lamp replacement required.
